The workshop

What can the North West learn from a self-build housing community in Sweden, tiny homes for people leaving homelessness in France, or a hands-on tiny-house school in Tipperary?

This interactive workshop brings 25 housing and community regeneration models from across Europe to your table, and asks how they could work here.

Rural housing supply, vacant buildings, ageing populations and skills shortages are shared challenges across Europe. NestED, an Erasmus+ project with partners in six countries, has studied community-led and sustainable housing models and turned them into free interactive case studies and training resources.

In this hands-on session you will explore those resources, look at one model from the angle of education, local government and community, and leave with ideas you can use in your own work.
